Description
Forest bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku. Join the Wild Ones Red Cedar Chapter for this guided experience in Sanford Natural Area on the MSU Campus. Meet at entrance gate #2 behind McDonel Hall (817 E. Shaw Lane, East Lansing, MI 48825.) Participants will enjoy the opportunity to be in a forested environment, to slow down, and to connect to our natural surroundings with intention. This practice is designed to promote a calm, clear mind, and overall wellness. Our experience will be led by Georgia Peterson, retired Natural Resources Extension Specialist with Michigan State University Extension . This event is free and open to the public. Many MSU parking lots and metered/pay-by-plate areas are free on weekends. However, be sure to read the posted sign at the entrance of the specific lot you are using, For more information about Forest Bathing, watch our 2022 video recording on this topic on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tD-DiHY5GCY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tD-DiHY5GCY
