Capital City Comic Con

Michigan's premier summer comic convention is committed to providing the best exhibition of Comics, Collectibles and Creators while helping our Community. More than 15 local clubs, businesses and charities are present at our event including Capital Area District Library, Michigan Army National Guard, Capital Area Literacy Coalition, Lansing Derby Vixens, Children’s Miracle Network, the League of Enchantment, Saving Scales Reptile Rescue, and many others. Each year, Capital City Comic Con donates a portion of available exhibit space to both local and national charities. Funds are raised for children’s hospitals, veterans' groups and suicide prevention, among others. All our attendees deserve special thanks for donating generously to every worthy cause at our event. Fully knowing the power comics have to ignite a hunger for reading, we have endeavored to support the pervasive issue of illiteracy in Greater Lansing by partnering with https://www.thereadingpeople.org/ The Reading People https://www.thereadingpeople.org/ at the Capital Area Literacy Coalition. A portion of our proceeds goes to this nonprofit organization each year. Their mission is to help both children and adults in the capital area learn to read, write and speak English. In addition, we’re proud to have established the https://capcitycomiccon.com/scholarship_2022 Capital City Comic Con Art Scholarship https://www.capcitycomiccon.com/scholarship2 . The scholarship is offered exclusively to current students at Michigan State University to encourage the study of comic art. One scholarship will be awarded based on artistic merit of original artwork submissions as determined by a comprehensive jury.
